Coming to an end!
It’s been a great month, I had a great time!!
I met amazing people and had a lot fun learning photography. I’m gonna miss it!!
Artists Statement…Recognition
“Don´t worry when you´re not recognized, but strive to be worthy of recognition” (Abraham Lincoln). There´s a human desire to be recognized; to be remembered through time; to become part history. People are afraid of being forgotten and therefore seek for recognition. Statues commemorate the life of those who have fought for their dreams, those who with their actions or words have changed things. The surrounding trees wrap the statues protecting them from the passage of time, isolating them from modern civilization.
Final project
I made a small change.. I am going to talk about how people try to be remembered over time: people print their names on trees, they create sculptures, they paint graffitis…
My project is going to talk about the different ways people use to not be forgotten!
